Indian Journal of Geosciences (formerly Indian Minerals) is the official quarterly journal of the Geological Survey of India and aims to publish quality research articles and notes dealing with all aspects of Earth sciences. Anyone – both from within and outside the Department – can contribute to the journal, provided that the contribution is of interest to Earth scientists. The papers are accepted on the merit of the quality and originality of the research work and its significance to the readership. Names of two referees may be suggested at the time of submission of the manuscript. Submission in the Journal is understood to imply that the same is not published or submitted for publication elsewhere. The Editor reserves the right to accept or reject any material for publication. This journal operates a double-blind review process. All contributions will be initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then sent to independent expert reviewer/s to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of articles.
